Puglia table grapes
Puglia table grapes PGI: five varieties, July to December
White Italia, Regina and Victoria, black Michele Palieri and pink Red Globe: the PGI covers five table grapes grown on Puglia's overhead tendone pergolas, always below 330 metres. Victoria opens the season in July and Italia closes it in mid-December. Expect sweet, fragrant bunches with crisp flesh.
- Berries in pale straw, rosy gold or velvety black, depending on the variety
- Crisp flesh that helps the grapes keep for longer
- One variety per pack, graded Extra or Class I
How to enjoy it. Mostly enjoyed fresh, kept cool so it lasts. Its sweetness and aroma also suit tarts, puddings, ice cream, salads and pasta dishes.
