Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo

Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, a cherry-pink rosé born of Montepulciano grapes

Made from at least 85% Montepulciano, it owes its cherry-pink hue to a short meeting of must and skins, halted before the wine can turn red. The nose is fruity and finely vinous; the palate dry, soft and balanced. It comes from all four provinces of Abruzzo, and the Superiore versions carry the name of a sub-zone.

• A cherry pink, deeper or lighter, that you recognise at first glance in the glass
• Dry and gentle, sometimes closing on a note of almond
• The Superiore matures for at least five months and names its hills, even the single vineyard

How to enjoy it. The base wine is released from 1 December of the vintage year and the Superiore from the following April; take a moment over its colour before the first sip.
